Getting started

What Monokaido does, how the application is laid out, and the path from the first sign-in to the first export.

Monokaido manages product data. It takes vendor feeds, each built however that vendor felt like building it, and turns them into one catalogue you can sell, filter and hand on.

The whole system is one flow, and it is worth seeing before you start clicking:

  1. A vendor sends a feed

    XML, JSON or CSV at an address we download on a schedule. Every vendor has its own format and its own field names.

  2. A mapping says what is what

    Which feed field is the name, which is the price, which is the EAN. Without a mapping a feed is just text.

  3. The import fills the catalogue

    Products are created or updated. Whatever failed is in the log.

  4. Normalisation unifies what differs

    Parameters, values, brands and categories from different vendors collapse into one list. This is the work a PIM exists for.

  5. Enrichment fills what is missing

    Descriptions, translations, missing parameters, photos. The AI can propose most of it; a person has the last word.

  6. Output

    The catalogue goes to a shop, to an ERP, or into an outbound feed for comparison sites.

The top menu has four permanent entries and several more that appear only if your package includes them:
