Products
How a product is born from a feed, what it passes through, and in what state it reaches the shop.
A product in Monokaido is almost never created by hand. It arrives in a feed, passes through processing, and ends as a record you can sell. This section describes each step of that journey.
The life of a product
Creation
An import creates the product from a feed row. Which field is the name and which is the price is decided by the feed mapping.
Placement
The product gets its vendor's category. It reaches your tree only through category mapping, or by hand.
Normalisation
Its parameters and their values are unified with the other vendors'.
Enrichment
A description, translations, missing parameters and photos are filled in.
Review
Changes the next import brings wait for confirmation.
Publishing
The product appears in the shop, or is transferred to another system.
