Social media
Product posts for Instagram and Facebook — a branded image, AI text, and publishing to your Page.
On this page
From a product's detail page you prepare a post for Instagram or Facebook: Monokaido turns the product photo into a branded image with the product name, the AI writes the text, and you publish the post straight to your Page — or download the image and copy the text.
A post from the product detail page
On a product's detail page, next to the Edit product button, sits the ⋯ menu (More actions). It holds Instagram post and Facebook post — editors and administrators see them. An administrator also finds Delete product there (archived products only).
| Part of the window | What it does |
|---|---|
| Preview | How the post will look in the feed — image and text. The image is redrawn after every change. |
| Photo | Which of the product’s switched-on photos goes on the image. The main photo is the default. |
| Title and subtitle | The text on the image. The product name and the brand by default; you can rewrite both. |
| Logo | Your shop logo (the light version from the shop settings) in the corner of the image. |
| Post text | Your own text, or let the AI write it. Hashtags go on the last line. |
| Download / Copy | The image as a JPEG and the text to the clipboard — for posting by hand. On a phone, Share opens the network’s app. |
| Publish | Posts to your Page. Shown only when a Page is connected correctly (see below). Until it is, an administrator sees a Set up link instead, which takes them to Settings → Social media. |
When a publish is uncertain
If the connection to Meta breaks only after the post was sent, Monokaido cannot tell whether it went out. The window's history marks it Uncertain. The next attempt for the same product and network first asks whether you checked your Page — so the same post is not published twice.
The Instagram image is 4 : 5 (1080 × 1350 px), the Facebook one 1.91 : 1 (1200 × 630 px). The photo is darkened by a gradient behind the text, so white text stays readable even on a white background. The line above the title takes your shop’s accent colour.
Prompts for the post text
The AI writes the text from two prompt templates — Instagram Post and Facebook Post. An administrator edits them in Settings → Social media, in the Post text by AI card (shown only when AI is available). They are ordinary templates, so they are also in the prompt gallery in the AI settings.
| Field | What goes in it |
|---|---|
| Instructions for the AI | Tone, structure and rules of the post — how many hashtags, whether to mention free delivery. |
| Request with the product data | What the AI is told about the product. Monokaido replaces variables such as {{product_title}} or {{parameters}} with the product’s data; click a variable to insert it. |
Monokaido always adds the language, the ban on invented facts, plain text without formatting and Instagram’s limits to the prompt itself — an edited prompt cannot switch them off.
Connecting a Facebook Page
To publish directly, Monokaido needs access to your Facebook Page. Instagram posts go through the Instagram professional account linked to that Page — when none is linked, only Facebook is offered. An administrator sets this up in Settings → Social media.
- In Meta Business Suite open Business settings → Users → System users and add a user with the admin role.
- Assign the Facebook Page (and the Instagram account) to that user with full control.
- Generate a token for your business’s app with the permissions
pages_show_list,pages_read_engagement,pages_manage_posts,instagram_basic,instagram_content_publishandbusiness_management. - The Page ID is on your Facebook Page under About → Page transparency.
- Paste the Page ID and the token into Monokaido and save.
Monokaido checks the token with Meta when you save — an invalid token, or one that does not belong to this Page, is not stored. The token is stored encrypted and is never shown back.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Publishing enabled | Switch it off to hide the Publish button without forgetting the token. |
| Test | Checks the token with Meta again and reloads the Page name and the Instagram account. |
| Disconnect | Deletes the stored token. The post history stays. |
The networks’ limits
| Rule | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Text up to 2,200 characters | Instagram’s limit; the window enforces it for you. |
| At most 30 hashtags | Instagram refuses a post with more — the window warns you. |
| About 50 posts per 24 hours | Instagram’s limit per account for posts published through the API. |
